Baron Holiday Homes

Consultant marketer Kathryn Bullock has worked with ie for many years. We worked together to design and develop a new, fully responsive website. We also integrated the new site with a holiday booking software system - Kigo. ​

The starting point

Having a mobile-friendly website is critical for companies in the travel industry as many people research their holidays on a mobile device. To grow their business Baron Holiday Homes needed a fully responsive, mobile optimised website that would allow customers to browse and book holidays on whatever device they use.

The company uses the Kigo software system to manage their holiday bookings, so the new website also needed to be integrated with the Kigo booking engine.

The intelligent approach

Our design team created a beautifully crafted website that showcases the rental properties to their very best advantage. The site also promotes the additional services the company offers to help make their guests’ stay as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible.

The customer journey has been planned and developed to ensure people can find and book their ideal holiday home quickly and easily. Potential ‘dead-ends’ were also addressed, so for example if a date or property is not available, alternative options are suggested.

Visitors to the website are encouraged to sign up for news and updates, helping build a valuable database for future marketing communications. Content is also optimised to ensure excellent visibility for key search terms and SEO is monitored and reported on regularly to ensure the site is performing well.

The results

Working in close partnership with all parties our team achieved a seamless integration with the next generation Kigo booking engine.

The website was so well received that it was showcased by Kigo at a global convention as a shining example of what can be achieved using bespoke front-end design, coupled with their state-of-the-art booking engine.

When Covid-19 brought the world to a standstill, signalling a temporary end to international travel, Baron Holiday Homes were able to successfully pivot their business to focus on serving their domestic market. More flexible booking policies and longer stay options were made available through Kigo’s upgraded booking engine, Kigo Pro.

The website is now capable of delivering for both the domestic and international markets, so Baron Holiday Homes is well-placed to ride out challenges associated with travel in the months and years ahead.
